The auction is one of our major fundraisers. Proceeds support the purchase of music, rental of rehearsal space, costs of soloists, concert venues and much more. The auction is conducted by Carol Ritter Wright, a chorus member and professional auctioneer, who donates her services for the sale.

Each year, several hundred people attend the auction and bid on the items for sale. Your donation and your name will be highlighted in the auction brochure. In addition, GVOC is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, so donations to the auction are tax deductible. This is a great way to support GVOC and the arts in our community!

Some examples of items donated are:

  • Antiques
  • Collectibles
  • Glassware
  • Jewelry
  • Plants
  • Handcrafted items
  • Artwork
  • Gift certificates to local restaurants and attractions
  • Tickets for sporting events, GEVA, RPO, Downstairs Cabaret, etc.

Businesses can donate goods or services such as beauty products and treatments, furnace cleanings, oil changes, replacement windows and doors, gift certificates, etc.
