A Message from our Co-Presidents
This year the Genesee Valley Orchestra and Chorus marks thirty-six seasons of bringing you some of the world’s most beautiful music.
Raffaele Ponti, internationally accomplished and acclaimed conductor, begins his tenth season with GVOC and together with the chorus and orchestra, will offer an exceptional season, designed for your enjoyment.
We are delighted that two local children’s choirs will join us for Rutter’s Mass of the Children in November. Faure’s Requiem will round out this program of Remembrance.
Our 36th annual presentation in December of Handel’s Messiah is an audience favorite.
A Sacred Music Festival in March will present a mélange of choral and instrumental works in a “Prism” format – flowing from one piece to another without interruption. A similar concert a few years ago won rave reviews.
In May, we salute great American composers whose works have defined and inspired the character of our great country.
Please join us for an outstanding season!
