Joined GVOC in 2006

First Musical Memory: I don't know if it's my first, but I remember that when I was in 4th grade, I was one out of two kids in my class to be picked to be in an all-county chorus for a special concert.  We had a couple of Saturday rehearsals, then we performed.  I can still remember the words to every single one of those songs -- my favorite was "Farewell Jamaica".  It was tons of fun, and the kicker was that it ended up being on our local cable channel (think public access at its earliest, earliest stages!)  I was always in chorus throughout elementary school, junior high and high school after that.   

 Favorite Piece of Music:  I love, love, love the Messiah, and I have loved it since performing it in high school.  It's just not Christmas without it to me.  But I also love to sing Bach pieces.  When it comes to attending concerts, my husband and I tend to lean toward Russian composers.
